Senior Solution Engineer - Strategic Accounts

Contentful is a leading digital experience platform helping enterprises deliver personalized, composable content-driven experiences. They are hiring a Senior Solution Engineer to support Strategic Accounts, working closely with Account Executives to drive technical discovery, demos, proofs of concept, and value-based solution design for large enterprise customers.

Skills

  • 3-5 years sales engineering experience selling cloud solutions to marketing, IT, and development audiences
  • At least 2 years selling to large enterprise or Fortune 500 organizations
  • Strong presentation and demo skills with the ability to communicate technical and business value to mixed audiences
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing objectives, KPIs, and how content powers marketing strategies
  • Familiarity with CMS/headless CMS and MarTech ecosystem
  • Experience with RFI/RFP processes and security questionnaires
  • Knowledge of MACH principles and composable architectures
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in a fast-paced, multi-opportunity environment
  • High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to run technical discovery, product demos, and proofs of concept for Strategic (Global 500) accounts
  • Design and present value-based solutions that show how Contentful fits into customers' composable marketing and digital stacks
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with technical and business stakeholders across customer organizations
  • Develop and deliver customized demonstrations and hands-on trials to validate technical fit and business value
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires and coordinate with internal teams to finalize responses
  • Capture and relay customer and partner feedback to Product, Marketing, and Sales teams
  • Mentor and provide thought leadership to more junior Sales Engineers
  • Travel onsite to customer locations as needed (up to ~50%)
  • Contribute to internal Sales Engineering projects to improve processes, demo frameworks, and team effectiveness

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant technical, marketing, or business degree preferred
