Senior Sales Manager, SLED

Cloudflare is a global internet performance and security company on a mission to help build a better Internet. We are seeking a seasoned SLED (State, Local & Education) Go‑to‑Market leader to run the Pacific West region, grow revenue, build a high-performing sales organization, and expand Cloudflare’s presence across state, local and education customers.

Skills

  • Proven senior sales leadership in SLED/government and education markets
  • Expertise managing long, complex sales cycles with quarterly delivery focus
  • Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and sales process discipline
  • Experience building and scaling field teams and partnering with recruiting and global functions
  • Familiarity with networking and security concepts (Zero Trust, SASE, SD‑WAN) and how the Internet works
  • Established partner community and channel experience in SLED
  • Excellent executive presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and dynamic, fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the US SLED Pacific West sales organization, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Drive regional revenue through aligned sales, channel, customer success, solutions engineering, and field marketing programs
  • Manage long and complex SLED sales cycles while maintaining quarterly cadence and accurate forecasting
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy across State, Local, and Education (HiEd and K-12) accounts
  • Serve as single operational contact for the region; ensure escalation, compliance, and policy alignment
  • Build and maintain partner and association relationships (e.g., NASCIO) and represent Cloudflare at external events
  • Drive business cadence: forecast calls, deal reviews, account reviews, team meetings, and cross-functional updates
  • Travel within the U.S. as required to support customers and team

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering, IT) is a plus
