About the Role

As we enter our next stage of growth, we are seeking a Chief Product Officer to lead our product strategy and implement our product roadmap. This role will manage the product, engineering, and design functions.

The CPO will shape Citizen’s product vision, drive growth in consumer engagement, build enterprise capabilities, manage partner integrations and manage a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities

Set Vision & Strategy

• Collaborate with the CEO to define Citizen’s long-term product vision and company strategy.

• Translate customer needs, market insights, and business goals into a clear and compelling product roadmap.

• Serve as a key external face of Citizen for partners, customers, and investors.

Drive Execution & Results

• Lead high-velocity product development cycles from ideation through launch, ensuring measurable business outcomes.

• Deliver best-in-class consumer and enterprise experiences that drive MAU, engagement, and revenue growth.

• Ensure engineering excellence in scalable architecture, strong technical execution, and disciplined development practices.

• Integrate AI thoughtfully to accelerate product capabilities and engineering efficiency.

Lead a World-Class Team

• Build, scale, and inspire a multidisciplinary team across product, engineering, and design.

• Foster a culture of ownership, speed, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Elevate Citizen’s product-first culture, grounded in empathy, innovation, and accountability.

Strengthen Product Operations

• Own the full product lifecycle from research and prioritization to delivery and iteration.

• Partner with design to champion elegant, intuitive, and trust-driven user experiences.

• Collaborate with GTM, sales, and partnerships to drive monetization, market fit, and revenue expansion.

Qualifications & Skills

• 15+ years of overall product experience in high-growth product-driven technology companies.

• 5+ years experience as the senior person responsible for product management (CPO/VP Product/Head of Product).

• Proven track record of creating and iterating products and shipping at scale.

• Enterprise, AI/ML and consumer product development experience.

• Background in public safety, trust, or security tech is a plus.

• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.

• Effective communicator, with ability to influence others.

• Thrives in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.

• A team builder, team player and leader who creates loyalty, trust, and following.

• NYC-based or willing to work regularly in Citizen’s NYC offices.

Salary Range

This role offers a base salary of $325,000 to $350,000 base plus variable comp potential and equity.
