Software Engineer, Financial Platform
Skills
- Proven production experience with Go (Golang)
- Experience with additional backend languages such as Ruby, Java, or Python is a plus
- Strong background in backend systems, APIs, and service design
- Experience with payment processing systems or financial services
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and scalable data stores
- Rigorous approach to testing, TDD, and CI/CD practices
- Understanding of architecture patterns for large, mission-critical services
- Operational experience including monitoring, alerting, and on-call duties
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy components of a new financial platform
- Deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure and APIs
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineering to minimize operational overhead of production systems
- Write thoroughly tested code and perform quality assurance alongside QA teams
- Apply agile methodologies and test-driven development practices
- Participate in on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation for safe, frequent deployments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Or equivalent practical experience in software engineering
- Advanced degree a plus but not required
