The Clinical Supervisor organizes, and directs all assigned resources, including people, equipment, and supplies that support the provision of care. This position assists the Manager to ensure smooth function of the department. The Clinical supervisor maintains excellent working knowledge of all respiratory care policies and procedures and is able to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. The Clinical Supervisor provides overall coordination and delivery of illness management and health promotion for patients and families in their assigned area(s), e.g., Critical Care ICN, PICU and ED areas, UCC, medical/surgical units, and/or Outpatient Clinics. The Clinical Supervisor establishes respiratory processes using scientific principles to provide safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age appropriate respiratory care for patients in their assigned area. The Clinical Supervisor provides educational development, student experiential rotations, research, quality improvement and assurance, and acts as a liaison with medical staff and all other hospital personnel. The Clinical Supervisor communicates effectively and works collaboratively with other Clinical Supervisors as well as the multidisciplinary team. The day shift clinical supervisor in a given area will coordinate any PTO/vacation with the night shift clinical supervisor in the same area to ensure consistent leadership presence. Any PTO/vacation requests which take place at the same time, for the day shift and night shift Clinical Supervisor in the same area, will need prior approval from the Director.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $38.47/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
