Skills
- 3-5 years experience in risk, fraud investigation, or fintech analytics
- Strong investigative mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Willingness to iterate on and refine processes
- SQL experience is a plus but not required
- Availability to work Pacific Time hours
- Ability to attend an annual 3-day company offsite
Responsibilities
- Own and execute company reviews, payroll monitoring, and investigation workflows end-to-end
- Build, document, and maintain risk policies, playbooks, and standard operating procedures
- Train teammates and partners on risk processes and best practices
- Partner with Product & Engineering to improve risk tooling, detection, and case management
- Escalate, document, and drive resolution of suspected fraud incidents with legal and ops
- Communicate findings clearly to internal teams, partners, and customers
- Identify process improvements and implement operational efficiencies
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Degree in finance, economics, criminal justice, data analytics, or related field preferred
