Assistant General Counsel

 

Position Overview

Exiger is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our Legal team. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic legal support across Exiger’s business lines, with a particular focus on commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and business stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and government agreements, including SaaS, licensing, services, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
  • Advise internal teams on legal and regulatory risks associated with business initiatives.
  • Support senior attorneys with a variety of legal matters beyond general commercial work, including refinement of internal policies, training and processes, and other tasks, as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Engineering, HR, Compliance, and other teams to meet key internal objectives.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to Exiger’s operations and advise senior attorneys on potential impact to Exiger’s business.

 

Professional Experience Required

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 4+ years of legal experience, with proven law firm experience that has focused on commercial contracts.
  • Expertise in technology agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent judgment and the proven ability to balance legal risk with business priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a high-growth technology, SaaS, or professional services environment.
  • Litigation experience.
  • IP expertise.
  • Government contracts experience.
  • M&A experience.
