Global Social Strategy Lead

Change.org is the world’s largest social change platform and a public benefit company mobilizing millions around urgent causes. They’re seeking a Global Social Strategy Lead to set creative direction across 13 markets, drive viral short-form content performance, build scalable playbooks and tooling, mentor regional teams, and lead experimentation to amplify campaigns and impact worldwide.

Skills

  • Expertise in social media strategy across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X).
  • Proven ability to create and optimize short-form and viral video content.
  • Experience developing playbooks and creative frameworks for distributed teams.
  • Strong mentoring and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Comfort designing and running experiments to test content formats and distribution.
  • Experience selecting and rolling out tools that improve creative efficiency and measurement.
  • Familiarity using AI tools for ideation, trend analysis, and optimization.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into creative guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear global social strategy, creative standards, and playbooks used by 13 markets.
  • Set creative direction and act as global creative editor for short-form and viral video content.
  • Mentor and partner with in-country social leads to raise content quality and consistency.
  • Design and run global experimentation (including a viral-video experiment) to identify repeatable formats that drive reach and impact.
  • Evaluate social platforms to prioritize investment, experimentation, and scale for each market.
  • Own and optimize social tooling and processes; recommend and roll out improvements to workflows and tools.
  • Provide guidance on influencer and creator partnerships to amplify campaign reach and engagement.
  • Establish measurement approaches and feedback loops to iterate creative guidance based on performance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ongoing professional development in social media, creative production, or analytics recommended.
  • Experience working across multiple global markets or with distributed teams preferred.
