The Assistant Nursing Director, Ambulatory and Procedural Services, assists in directing and administering clinical operations and patient care across inpatient and ambulatory care areas. This role directly oversees the growing ambulatory and cancer footprint at Fairview, including the Moll Center with its Infusion Center, Breast Center and Oncology practices and is responsible for Cardiology services such as Interventional, Pre/Post, CPPU, Cardiac Rehab (RNs), Avon Cath Lab and Lutheran Cardiology RNs. In collaboration with nurse managers, the Assistant Nursing Director oversees daily operations and supports overall perioperative, ambulatory and cardiology services, ensuring nursing and clinical practices align with the philosophy, standards and mission of the Nursing Institute.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. This position is primarily at Fairview Hospital with occasional travel to Westlake ASC, Avon and Lutheran as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist in directing and the administration of the clinical operations and patient care for inpatient and ambulatory care areas.
Oversee daily operations in conjunction with nurse managers.
Ensure that nursing and clinical practice occur in accordance with the philosophy, standards and mission of the Nursing Institute.
Supervise nurse managers, educators, clinical specialists and staff of the inpatient and ambulatory care units.
Work in collaboration with Nursing Director regarding budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity and staff development.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to nursing staff.
Ensure communication, cooperation and understanding among staff and monitor adherence to Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures.
Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Four years of recent clinical experience and one year of health care management experience
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Prior experience as a Nurse Manager
Hospital or ambulatory experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master's Degree
Proven nursing leader with experience in procedural interventional cardiology, Cancer Care/infusion, perioperative, or ambulatory services
