Onboarding Manager

Blackthorn is a fast-moving, distributed team building Salesforce-native apps for events, payments, messaging, and data protection. We're seeking an Onboarding and Enablement Manager to own the early customer journey by running predictable, high-quality implementations, delivering training and enablement, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure customers realize value quickly.

Skills

  • 3+ years in SaaS onboarding, implementation, or project management
  • Proven scoping, planning, tracking, and risk-management capabilities
  • Hands-on Salesforce knowledge; Administrator certification a plus
  • Technical aptitude for system configuration, workflows, and data considerations
  • Strong remote communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Experience producing clear project documentation (functional specs, flow charts, trackers)
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager and primary customer contact during onboarding from kickoff through go-live
  • Manage multiple concurrent onboarding projects, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
  • Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions to define scope, success criteria, and timelines
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, and risk/issue logs to ensure timely delivery
  • Configure or oversee system setup and data preparation needed for go-live
  • Follow and improve repeatable onboarding processes, templates, and playbooks
  • Facilitate enablement sessions, office hours, and training for new and existing customers
  • Coordinate across Sales, Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success during onboarding
  • Provide structured handoffs to Customer Success Managers at go-live
  • Capture customer feedback during onboarding and relay insights to Product and Engineering

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator certification a plus
  • Relevant professional training or certifications in project management or customer success helpful
