Director of Marketing, North America

About Auror

At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 11 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

We're also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact—whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we're committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.

The Role

As Director of Marketing, North America, you’ll own the strategy and execution of all marketing activities across the region. From pipeline generation to field events to regional storytelling, you’ll be responsible for making Auror visible, trusted, and impactful across the U.S. and Canada.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Customer Success to build pipeline, accelerate deals, and bring our brand to life in the market.

Regional GTM Strategy & Planning

  • Own the integrated marketing plan for North America, aligned with revenue goals and sales priorities
  • Act as the voice of the region in global planning and campaign development
  • Translate global strategy into impactful regional programs

Pipeline Generation & Acceleration

  • Collaborate with Demand Generation to ensure effective execution of ABM and demand generation programs for net new prospects and strategic accounts
  • Work with our GTM Engineer and RevOps to track performance and optimize for sourced and influenced pipeline
  • Build feedback loops with Sales and CS to continuously improve messaging, campaigns, and content relevance
  • Lead partner marketing efforts in the region, collaborating with strategic partners to co-develop campaigns, events, and content that drive joint value, awareness, and pipeline.

Field & Event Marketing

  • Plan and execute regional events, executive roundtables, and trade shows
  • Deliver high-impact in-person and virtual experiences to engage prospects and customers
  • Provide leadership for two North American event marketers

Content & Messaging Localization

  • Partner with Product Marketing to tailor messaging, content, and sales tools for the North American market
  • Source and activate customer stories and case studies from the region

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Demand Generation and global Marketing leaders
  • Represent marketing in pipeline reviews and regional GTM initiatives

You’ll be reporting to Heather Gadonniex, Acting Chief Marketing Officer.

Profile photo for Heather Gadonniex

I’ve spent the last two decades helping growth-stage companies find their focus, align their teams, and build go-to-market systems that scale without losing their magic. I’m an operator and builder by nature, and I love co-creating clarity with teams and setting a high bar for performance and purpose.

I’m passionate about helping marketing teams become market makers and revenue engines, not just service departments. I’m also a big believer in unifying cross-functional teams around a common vision and operating cadence, maintaining collaboration and strengthening culture as we grow. At Auror, I’m excited to recruit team members that thrive in collaborative environments and want to play a critical role in shaping our next chapter of our growth.

Outside of work, I spend my time on our intergenerational family vineyard wrangling two boys, enjoy a slow-food meal paired with good wine and good people, and attempting to get my daily dose of mindfulness and exercise through yoga and pilates.

We’re looking for someone with the following:

  • 8+ years of B2B Enterprise SaaS marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a regional or field marketing leadership role with a focus on regional, field, channel and partner marketing; working directly with sales teams.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (ideally Hubspot) and CRM (ideally salesforce) as well as other GTM technology, interest and working knowledge of how to incorporate AI into GTM workflows.
  • Proven success driving pipeline and revenue in enterprise SaaS—ideally in retail, public safety, or adjacent industries
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. market and buyer dynamics
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Skilled at building and maintaining relationships, being a strategic partner to sales and engaging with senior leadership.
  • Action orientated, with a track record of delivering results in line with company objectives through operational excellence, including accelerating and progressing pipeline.
  • Team management and development skills, including career development and coaching.
  • Ability to travel domestically (up to 20%) and internationally (up to 5%)

We are looking for people who demonstrate a strong alignment to our Guiding Principles (you can find these on our Careers page).

Auror is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible application process to all candidates and we are actively working to improve diversity within the tech industry. We celebrate diversity and inclusiveness at Auror, regardless of (but not limited to) race, gender, sexual orientation, family status, religion, ethnicity, national origin, physical disability, veteran status, or age.

If you need adjustments to any part of our recruitment process because of accessibility reasons, please do not hesitate to let us know during the application process. We will work with you to identify adjustments that will allow you to perform at your best.

  • Competitive salary Range: Depending on level of experience, a salary of $147,500 - $170,000 (PL5)
  • Annual bonus: Discretionary bonus based on company revenue targets
  • Employee share scheme: You’ll own part of a company making a real difference!
  • Flexibility: We are hard-working and outcome focused, but recognise there is more to life than work. We promote a healthy work/life blend.
  • Shorter work weeks (at full pay): Everyone gets Friday afternoons off, so you can start your weekend early, and do more of whatever it is that makes you happy.
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision): Auror covers 100% of the cost of your health insurance plan with United Healthcare & Metlife.
  • Focus on mental and physical health: We understand how vital our health is and have policies to support your wellness, including: Wellness Days,  and up to three expert sessions paid for every year.
  • Family-friendly: We offer comprehensive parental leave and benefits for primary and non-primary caregivers, including a baby bonus and meals delivered to your door.
  • Personal growth: We support our team to participate in courses, conferences, or events that will help them develop their skills.
  • Team love: We have regular team lunches and social events where most (if not all) activities are during work hours.

Next steps:

If you’re excited about our mission and you have the experience and a passion for this role, please hit “Apply”.

If you’re not sure that you tick all the boxes but feel you’re close to what we’re looking for, please apply anyway! We’re proud that Auror is a place where everyone can learn and grow so we’d love to hear from you.

You'll be asked to submit a cover letter as part of your application. While this is optional we do encourage it, as we find cover letters can tell a story that resumes alone often cannot. Our hiring team love to understand what attracted you to this role and why you are excited about the opportunity to join Auror.

Once you apply, you’ll hear from us to acknowledge your application. If you have questions about any of the above, or if you have any accessibility requirements, we’ll be able to help you from there.

The deadline for applications is 15 August 2025.
