About the Job:

👋 I’m Megan, the Revenue Accounting Manager at Ashby. I am thrilled to be hiring our first Senior Accountant to join our team! I joined Ashby about a year ago, and have really appreciated the collaborative environment and the energy that comes with being part of a fast-growing company. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, billing, and the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a dynamic environment focused on long-term impact and timely execution.

As we prepare for our first financial audit and continue to scale, this role offers strong growth potential. You’ll play a key role in audit readiness, process improvement, and helping the team tighten close and reporting timelines. We’re seeking someone who embraces change and brings a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to evolving our accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes

• Reconcile bank statements

• Assist with Accounts payable

• Support financial audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation

• Help maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

• Perform ad hoc accounting projects as assigned

• Manage billings inquiries

• Assist with invoicing and collections

• Potentially process payroll

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• 2-4 years of accounting experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities

• Bonus: Prior audit experience or experience preparing for first audit

Interview Process

Our interview process is thorough — we assess if you are the right fit for Ashby and we will provide ample information for you to determine if Ashby is the right place for you. The process for this role is as follows

• Hiring Manager Interview with Megan - 45min

• Practical Assessment

• Final Round - 2-2.5 hours
