Overview:
Our client is a prominent New York City Personal Injury Law Firm specializing in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Worker’s Compensation. The firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys through the claims process and client management. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Midtown Manhattan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with initial client consultations, policy reviews, and claim assessments.
- Analyze and gather medical records, physician documentation, and other supporting evidence.
- Prepare and submit initial claim filings and continued proof of loss documentation.
- Draft pleadings and handle No-Fault claims and medical requests.
- Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, and legal teams.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely follow-ups.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a legal or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience working at a Plaintiff-side Personal Injury Law Firm.
- Familiarity with No-Fault claims, medical record requests, and legal pleadings.
- Comfortable handling medical and financial documentation.
Other:
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Process-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Must be able to work full-time in-office as part of a hybrid arrangement.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
