- Proven systems integration, test, and troubleshooting experience for robotics or complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated program/project planning and schedule management using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Strong contract familiarity and experience with government reporting and acquisition processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for engineering reviews and customer presentations.
- Ability to operate independently under ambiguous technical requirements and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage programs through integration, test, verification, demonstration, and sustainment of Autonomous Underwater Vessels (AUVs).
- Ensure programs meet requirements, schedule, and budget targets; maintain program schedules and risk registers.
- Own technical outcomes: manage incident response, after-action reviews, and performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Engage directly with DoD/USN customers, representing technical status and acting as the voice of the customer for follow-on work.
- Plan and lead test events including generating test plans, resource identification, logistics, and offshore deployment leadership.
- Support contract management: SOWs, change orders, financial tracking, deliverables, and program reporting.
- Autonomously execute ambiguous requirements and act as a trusted partner to engineering teams.
- Travel 25–40% for customer meetings and test events, including multi-day and occasional multi-week deployments.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or related technical field required.
- Advanced technical coursework or equivalent professional experience in robotics, systems engineering, or maritime systems is beneficial.
