Systems Administrator, Classified IT
Skills
- 7+ years supporting Classified IT enterprise systems (Aerospace & Defense manufacturing preferred)
- Expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows (10/11, Server 2019/2022)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/VxRail) and cloud services (Azure or AWS)
- Database cloning, backups, restore and recovery processes and monitoring
- Role-based access control and SELinux/AppArmor or similar enforcement
- Scripting/programming in Python, Go, Bash or Rust and automation with Ansible
- Experience in DevOps/SRE roles and working with containerized deployments/Kubernetes
- Active TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and Windows/Linux servers in classified environments
- Provision systems from bare metal to base OS and integrate system-of-systems hardware
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions
- Conduct security audits and maintain integrity of classified server infrastructure
- Apply patches, perform upgrades, and manage migrations collaboratively
- Develop automation using Python and Ansible to streamline operations
- Support container image uploads into deployment pipelines and monitor pods in Kubernetes
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g., RHCE, CISSP, AWS/Azure certifications)
