Vulnerability Analyst - North Central region
Skills
- Experience across the vulnerability management lifecycle in large, complex environments
- Hands-on experience with Qualys, Tenable, and/or Rapid7 preferred
- Scripting skills for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl or native shells)
- Familiarity with UVM/RBVM tooling and ServiceNow integrations is a plus
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems and CLI tasks
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and systems design
- Ability to interpret scan output and build creative remediation strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer-focused approach
Responsibilities
- Support the full vulnerability management lifecycle: discovery, scanning, analysis, prioritization and remediation tracking
- Perform vulnerability scan interpretation and translate findings into actionable remediation plans
- Quantify and articulate risk considering environmental and contextual factors
- Develop scripts and lightweight automation using native environment tools (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Design compensating controls when technical fixes are not feasible
- Harden systems to benchmarks (CIS, NIST) and implement configuration guidance
- Integrate vulnerability tooling with ticketing/CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and asset management solutions
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams throughout pre-sales and delivery, maintaining positive client relationships
- Create clear technical reports and communicate findings to technical and business audiences
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Security or related discipline preferred
- Equivalent technical experience in cybersecurity or IT considered
