Staff Software Engineer, Developer Platform
Skills
- Proven platform engineering experience with developer tools and CI/CD pipeline design
- Strong Golang skills for CLI and service integrations
- Strong Python skills for data analysis and visualization (Palantir Foundry experience a plus)
- Experience with infrastructure automation, release engineering, and engineering instrumentation
- Ability to design scalable data infrastructure for metrics and KPIs
- Familiarity with security and quality practices required for mission-critical systems
- Effective communicator with cross-team collaboration and project leadership experience
- Must be a U.S. Person (required for access to export-controlled information/facilities)
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts across release systems, developer tooling, and Software Factory tooling to optimize release pipelines and workflows
- Design and implement scalable automation and AI-powered tooling to increase developer productivity while ensuring quality and security
- Develop and extend the Golang-based dx CLI and integrate with internal services
- Build data infrastructure and instrumentation to produce actionable engineering metrics and KPIs
- Collaborate with Heads of Mission Engineering and cross-functional teams to define, track, and act on critical performance indicators
- Mentor engineers, drive technical roadmap, and own delivery of complex platform initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience accepted in lieu of degree
