Sr. Electrical Engineer, Sensor Systems
Skills
- 5+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
- Strong circuit and mixed-signal design background
- Experience integrating sensors and standard interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI)
- Experience with UAS, power electronics, converters, or powertrain design
- Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred)
- Competence using test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes, test automation
- Experience with EMI testing and mitigation techniques
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and validate Battery Management Systems (BMS) for autonomous vehicles
- Lead vehicle-level integrations and full lifecycle hardware design from concept to production
- Perform full-cycle PCB development: requirements, schematic capture, component selection, layout oversight, bring-up, test, and debug
- Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for electronic equipment
- Conduct peer and cross-discipline design reviews
- Build and test engine/system components in lab, ground, and flight tests
- Perform root-cause analysis to support field operations and resolve hardware issues
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
