- Product configuration management (parts, drawings, requirements, BOMs)
- PLM tool experience (Teamcenter preferred) and data management for complex products
- Change control and release management
- Configuration management standards familiarity (EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61B)
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to synthesize technical data into clear decision statements
- Experience coordinating audits and cross-functional stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain program configuration management plans and processes.
- Manage end-to-end change control (ECRs/ECNs) and facilitate configuration boards (CCB, CRB, Triage).
- Capture and maintain product baselines (EBOM, MBOM, SBOM) and requirements baselines.
- Coordinate and execute configuration audits (FCA/PCA) and periodic as-built audits in Teamcenter.
- Lead impact analyses for engineering changes and ensure implementation checklists and effectivity are completed.
- Build and maintain configuration status accounting dashboards and distribute decisions/records.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, and Supply Chain to assess change impacts and mitigation.
- Mentor and develop configuration management analysts and deliver training on processes and tools.
- Drive continuous improvement of CM workflows and leverage AI tools to increase efficiency.
Education
- BA/BS in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Naval, Nuclear, or similar)
- Technical training or certifications in configuration management or PLM recommended
