Responsibilities
- Select and qualify suppliers for assigned products leveraging the approved supplier list
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate development through scoping, trade-off analysis, and joint design activities
- Build and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing to enable internal and supplier production ramps
- Create should-cost / clean-sheet models and lead cost engineering to converge product cost and maximize TCO
- Manage CAPEX through NPI and perform BOM risk assessments including alternate sourcing
- Drive component qualification completion ahead of production and manage supplier/component rationalization
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and supply network flexibility
- Address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and inflation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field required
- Master’s or advanced technical degree preferred
