Responsibilities
- Lead supplier selection and qualification for assigned products using the approved supplier list
- Partner with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, joint design development, and clear statements of work
- Develop should‑cost / clean‑sheet models and drive bottoms‑up cost convergence
- Create and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to enable ramp and supplier transitions
- Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and support component qualification ahead of production
- Conduct value‑stream mapping to optimize lead time and network flexibility
- Perform BOM risk assessments including alternate sourcing and component rationalization
- Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier/component rationalization
- Handle ad‑hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and inflation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (required)
- Master’s or advanced technical degree (preferred)
