Responsibilities
- Own and manage mechanical casting commodity strategies from NPI through full production across business lines
- Assess and qualify supplier capabilities, facilities, layout, and workforce for inclusion on the Approved Supplier List
- Coordinate with SQE, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure supplier adherence to quality criteria and corrective action closure
- Lead supplier-side production tooling, line bring-up, and development activities to meet performance, quality, and demand requirements
- Drive capacity expansion readiness and manage production ramp-up at supplier sites
- Establish and maintain process performance and SPC controls with suppliers
- Identify and implement part, process, and factory layout improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, and supply risk
- Support root cause investigations and lead closure of corrective/preventative actions at supplier sites
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or materials engineering (preferred)
