Skills
- Proven experience with modern analog and digital electronics and complex board design
- Proficiency with lab test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, current probes, thermal chambers
- Familiarity with standard interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB
- Experience with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices and embedded system integration
- Comfortable with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred) and software development tools (git, GitHub, JIRA)
- Experience in signal integrity and power integrity design and analysis
- Experience with battery systems, high-power electronics, RF systems, and high-reliability designs
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle PCB design: requirements capture, schematic, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, test and debug
- Develop payloads and subsystems including sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking
- Create system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for subsystem connectivity
- Troubleshoot cross-domain electrical and software issues using lab equipment and basic software debugging tools
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver integrated products
- Lead and participate in peer and cross-discipline design reviews
- Design and support integration & testing of AUV systems through TRLs 3–8 and plan system verification
- Conduct vehicle platform system design & analysis and perform worst-case circuit/uncertainty analyses
- Support fielding, reliability analysis, and high-power electronics design for deployed systems
- Travel up to ~25% to support development and field testing
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in EE or related field is a plus
