Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes
Skills
- Strong software engineering skills with experience in Go, Python, Java, or similar languages
- Deep Kubernetes expertise and SRE experience in production environments
- Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms (Rancher, Anthos, etc.) and cluster hardening/monitoring
- Proficiency with major cloud providers (GCP or AWS) and architecting secure cloud infrastructure
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (preferably Terraform)
- Linux systems troubleshooting and operational experience
- Experience leading, mentoring, and working cross-functionally
- Active U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance (required)
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate highly available, resilient Kubernetes clusters without relying on cloud-managed services
- Build and maintain tooling and pipelines for deployments across cloud and on-premises environments
- Troubleshoot and remediate complex issues in Linux-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize containerized application deployments and CI/CD
- Monitor, harden, and remediate security baselines and infrastructure regressions
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor teams on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure best practices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong engineering background from industry or school
