- Professional C++ (3+ years) and strong software engineering practices
- Deep understanding of image processing, pixel-level features, and higher-level descriptors/embeddings
- Experience with object detection, tracking, segmentation, and VIO/SLAM
- Familiarity with ML/DL approaches and statistical algorithm implementation
- Experience designing and deploying real-time computer vision systems
- Performance-minded engineering across software/hardware boundaries
- Strong documentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design and implement perception algorithms (image enhancement, feature extraction, detection, classification, segmentation, tracking) in robust, efficient C++.
- Integrate novel and established image processing and ML/DL techniques on streaming imagery and sensor inputs.
- Collaborate with perception, tracking & estimation, and systems engineers to deliver integrated imaging solutions.
- Develop, test, optimize, and deploy real-time computer vision pipelines with attention to system performance.
- Create clear, concise technical documentation and maintain well-tested codebases.
- Iterate quickly on algorithm prototypes and transition research into reliable production implementations.
- Support integration, debugging, and performance tuning on target hardware and constrained environments.
Education
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
