Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure
Skills
- 5+ years professional software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose OOP languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#)
- Experience building robust, mission-critical systems (infrastructure, distributed systems, ML platforms, security, or privacy)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of production system interactions, dependencies, and platform primitives
- Proven ownership of projects from concept to production
- Experience mentoring and elevating team members
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain platform improvements across StubHub’s infrastructure and internal service catalog
- Build and evolve deployment tooling, build systems, artifact management, and infrastructure provisioning workflows
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation) to enable reliable, repeatable platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define best practices, platform primitives, and self-service capabilities
- Own project initiatives end-to-end from design through production rollout and operational support
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering technical growth and inclusive team practices
- Drive operational excellence, observability, and platform reliability
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal degree accepted
