Skills
- Proven backend service design and architecture experience
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Golang, Python, Java, C#, or Node.js)
- Experience with databases and caching (MySQL, SQL, Memcached)
- Experience with messaging systems (NSQ or similar)
- Strong automated testing and TDD practices
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub pull request workflows
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Experience evaluating or using AI developer tools (Copilot, Codex, Cursor)
Responsibilities
- Mentor Senior and Mid-level engineers to elevate technical quality, scalability, and delivery.
- Advocate and influence engineering solutions aligned to product strategy and measurable business outcomes.
- Design, create, manage, and improve backend services using tools such as Go, NSQ, MySQL, and Memcached.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to evolve platform architecture and align distributed teams on scalable system design.
- Make high-impact architectural decisions and create frameworks that enable rapid development and long-term maintainability.
- Leverage AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity, code quality, and testing practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree is a plus but not required
