Skills
- Production experience with Golang and TypeScript/Node.js
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architectures
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MySQL, BigQuery, Redis, MongoDB)
- Cloud deployment and operations experience (preferably AWS)
- Familiarity with messaging and queuing systems (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS)
- Strong system design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience shipping services for high-traffic, latency-sensitive environments
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and mentor engineers
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Golang, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Architect and operate large-scale distributed systems to support music distribution and monetization
- Collaborate closely with product leadership, client-side engineers, and music industry stakeholders
- Drive cross-team projects from inception to production with strong ownership and clear communication
- Act as a domain expert for music distribution, translating product needs into reliable technical solutions
- Improve observability, scalability, and operational processes for production services
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant field is a plus but not required
