Prisma Access™ combines the Internet connectivity/security you need – and delivers it everywhere you need it. Using cutting-edge public and private cloud technologies, it extends next-generation security protection to all cloud services and to its customers regardless of whether they are on-premise, on remote networks, or mobile users.

A crucial part of Prisma Access™ is our GlobalProtect mobile team, which is responsible for securing the network traffic from customer devices (smartphones, tablets) to the Prisma Access™ Cloud. We are seeking an experienced Mobile Software Engineer (Android) to design, develop, and deliver next-generation technologies within our GlobalProtect team.

We are looking for leaders who take ownership of their areas of focus and who are driven to solve problems at every level. Collaboration and teamwork are at the foundation of our culture, and we need engineers who can communicate at a high level and work well with others towards achieving a common goal.

We're looking for an experienced Android Developer with:

• 10+ years in software development, with a strong focus on the Android platform
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Android systems programming, demonstrating a deep understanding of Android OS internals, system-level development, and systematic debugging capabilities
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Android development paradigms
• Direct experience with JNI (Java Native Interface) and C++ for Android development.
• Familiarity with core Android frameworks such as Android Jetpack, Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux), and Android's robust security architecture
• A foundational understanding of networking principles, with a strong aptitude for learning specific networking protocols and troubleshooting tools on Android platforms
• A dedicated team player with a can-do attitude, ready to tackle complex problems and eager to continuously learn and grow
• Skilled at collaboration and effective communication across multiple teams
• An M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience

• A fast learner who adapts quickly to new tools and technologies, demonstrating an inherent aptitude and willingness to acquire new skills on the job
• Enjoys solving challenging problems and working effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of the cybersecurity field and its evolving landscape
• Proven ability to guide and inspire others, fostering a culture of continuous learning, shared ownership, and technical excellence
• Ability to articulate vision clearly and convincingly, collaborating effectively with diverse teams across functions
• Experience with iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) is a significant plus

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $147000/YR - $230500/YR.The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
