Senior Mission Software Engineer, Networking - Air Defense
Skills
- 6+ years C++ experience in Linux (or 2+ years Rust) for system-level development
- Experience building client-server applications on distributed networks
- Experience developing for low-level embedded systems and real-time constraints
- Thorough knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and service (systemd) management
- Strong debugging skills for Linux networking and multi-threaded systems
- Ability to make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs with mission focus
Responsibilities
- Own feature development and rollout for Air Defense networking and mission software
- Design, evaluate, and implement sensor integrations for human and autonomous planners
- Write and maintain high-quality code to scale mission capability and product robustness
- Debug complex Linux networking, routing, and service (systemd) issues
- Participate across the full SDLC: concept, design, testing, deployment, and sustainment
- Travel up to 20% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in operational environments
Education
- BS or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Robotics, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree (MS) preferred but not required
