Staff Software Engineer
Skills
- Extensive full-stack web development with JavaScript/Node.js
- Front-end experience (component libraries, UI frameworks, semantic UI familiarity is a plus)
- Backend services and API design; microservice architecture
- Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL datastores
- Production experience with Kubernetes and AWS
- System design and architecture for high-scale, secure web applications
- Proven ability to lead cross-team technical projects and mentor senior engineers
- Strong product sense and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable frontend and backend systems for core web applications and integrations
- Lead architecture and technical strategy across cross-functional projects (payments, integrations, platform services)
- Drive end-to-end delivery from ideation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration
- Mentor and grow senior and staff-level engineers, raising engineering standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot high-impact production issues and guide long-term reliability and performance improvements
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate domain complexity into actionable features
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) is a plus but not required
