Senior Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Test
Skills
- Expert in Mechanical Design packages (at least one).
- Experience with contract manufacturing, in-house fabrication, and prototyping.
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as load cells, strain gauges, multimeters.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills for non-conforming hardware.
- Experience with integration of electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
- Familiar with Product Lifecycle Management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Design complex mechanical assemblies for PCBA and product level test systems using professional CAD tools.
- Collaborate with rapid fabrication teams and suppliers to source equipment and build electromechanical fixtures.
- Integrate designs into Anduril’s PDM and PLM systems and steer product design teams on DFM/DFT standards.
- Work with design teams on mechanical DFM/DFT requirements and develop electromechanical systems within multidisciplinary teams.
- Generate test work instructions and train technicians on equipment use.
- Perform root cause analysis of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze test data, document results, and provide feedback for product enhancements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
