Skills
- Systems-level programming skills in Rust, Go, or C.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts like consistency and replication.
- Experience with distributed storage systems such as CEPH.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana or Datadog.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with high-throughput and low-latency system design.
- DevOps or SRE experience with distributed backend systems using Salt.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain globally distributed object storage infrastructure.
- Write and review code primarily in Rust, with some Go and TypeScript.
- Produce design documents and plan solutions for complex distributed system challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and operate storage features.
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance for high throughput and low latency.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
