- Programming/scripting skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, SQL, LabVIEW.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop test plans and validation assessments for humanoid battery systems and components.
- Validate battery performance, lifespan, safety, and reliability under various environmental conditions.
- Create detailed test documentation including protocols and equipment specifications.
- Conduct mechanical, thermal, and electrical tests on battery cells and packs both in-house and with external labs.
- Design and modify test fixtures and instrumentation for battery testing.
- Analyze test data and provide comprehensive reports and insights.
- Identify and communicate battery failure modes to design, validation, and manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate with vendors to source, install, and commission test equipment.
- Instrument battery packs with sensors and manage data acquisition and logging.
- Work alongside technicians to facilitate testing and instrumentation build.
- Develop and execute both manual and automated test scripts using various cyclers and chambers.
- Enforce strict safety protocols during testing and maintain lab equipment including calibrations.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related fields.
