- Proficiency in one or more: Rust, C, C++, ARMv7/ARMv8 assembly
- Experience developing bare-metal code, device drivers, and low-level infrastructure
- Board bring-up experience (bootloaders, BSP customization)
- Familiarity with embedded peripherals and standard I/O: UART, I2C, SPI, eMMC
- Experience with automated testing and validation for embedded systems
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance (current and maintainable)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-level bare-metal infrastructure, drivers, and bootloader components.
- Perform board bring-up for ARM-based embedded platforms (bootloaders, drivers, initialization).
- Customize vendor BSPs and adapt them to target ARM SoC platforms.
- Build and maintain the software ecosystem supporting next-generation SoC hardware.
- Implement security features and assist in securing embedded devices and firmware.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and validation infrastructure for embedded systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and Intelligence Community stakeholders to define requirements and iterate on solutions.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent practical experience in embedded systems accepted
- Active U.S. Secret clearance required
