Staff Quality Engineer, Data Analytics
Skills
- Experience with data modeling and database management (SQL and NoSQL)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Foundry, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Strong statistical and analytical skills (Matlab, JMP, Minitab or equivalent)
- Deep working knowledge of quality management and manufacturing practices for aviation/aerospace and complex hardware
- Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements (MSA), and GD&T
- Experience building production quality reporting and non-conformance systems
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eligibility to obtain and hold U.S. TS/SCI security clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead analytics processes, roadmaps, and data architecture for quality management across products and sites
- Grow, mentor, and manage a small team of quality engineers focused on analytics and process improvement
- Execute cross-functional analytics projects and product health analyses to drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Lead large data improvement and root-cause analysis efforts using formal problem-solving methods (e.g., 5 Whys, FMEA, statistical analysis)
- Design, build, and improve non-conformance and issue management systems to capture, track, and resolve quality problems
- Create and maintain production quality reporting and documentation to meet internal and customer requirements
- Partner with Manufacturing, Deployment, Reliability, Chief Engineers, and customer-facing teams to present CAPA and quality findings
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical field (required)
- Master's degree in a technical field (preferred)
