- Proficient CAD skills and ability to produce industry-standard engineering drawings
- Hands-on fabrication and prototyping skills with manufacturing troubleshooting
- Experience integrating PCBAs and electronics into mechanical systems
- Strong engineering fundamentals and first-principles problem solving
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Own hardware design from initial requirements through production handoff
- Design mechanical systems that tightly integrate thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling
- Rapidly prototype to identify and resolve issues on compressed timelines
- Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations and capture requirements
- Travel to test sites and support field evaluations as required
Education
- BSME, MS, or PhD in mechanical engineering or related field
- Experience in immersive technical projects (collegiate teams or professional)
- Formal CAD training or demonstrable CAD proficiency
