Principal RFIC Engineer

- RF/analog/mixed-signal IC design and verification
- Cadence Virtuoso / Spectre RF and/or Keysight ADS proficiency
- Electromagnetic simulation experience (HFSS/EMX)
- Hands-on RF lab skills: spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, VNAs
- Knowledge of semiconductor technologies (SOI, SiGe, GaN, CMOS)
- Silicon characterization and tape-out experience
- Scripting for automation and analysis (Python or MATLAB)
- System-level collaboration and vendor management
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and simulate complex RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits (LNAs, PAs, mixers, VCOs, PLLs, filters, switches, beamforming blocks).
- Perform noise, linearity, mismatch, and stability analysis and trade-off studies for power, performance, and area.
- Oversee layout, DRC/LVS, and verification workflows to ensure successful tape-outs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, firmware, layout, test, and product teams to define and meet system-level specs.
- Characterize, debug, and validate silicon in the lab; lead bring-up and test plans with manufacturing partners.
- Optimize designs for cost and manufacturability and work with vendors on packaging and test solutions.
- Generate comprehensive design documentation, test reports, and spec sheets.
- Mentor and grow RFIC engineering talent and help build team processes and capabilities.
Education
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Advanced coursework or demonstrated experience in RF/analog IC design
