Skills
- 12+ years building production software in fast-paced environments
- Hands-on coding (expected ~30% of time) using Python and TypeScript
- Designing and operating platform/infrastructure tooling and distributed services
- Deep knowledge of APIs, data modeling, event streaming, and schema design
- Experience with CI/CD, IaC, deployment strategies, and observability/monitoring
- Familiarity building or integrating LLMs, conversational UIs, and autonomous workflows
- Strong cross-team communication and stakeholder influence
- U.S. Person status (export-control/DoD requirement)
Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical roadmap for PlatformOS (infrastructure, templates, CI/CD, observability, guardrails, agent platform).
- Architect, design, and implement complex distributed services, tooling and APIs that other teams consume.
- Co-lead the agent platform: host/manage LLMs, build chat UI, integrate autonomous workflows and developer tooling.
- Standardize platform APIs, event streaming, schema registries, audit logging, and product analytics frameworks.
- Drive platform observability, telemetry, reliability, and modern deployment practices (blue/green, canary).
- Partner with cross-product service teams to remove friction, build consensus, and ensure platform adoption.
- Mentor engineers, promote shared ownership, improve code review and delivery practices, and grow engineering culture.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) helpful but not required
- Relevant continuing education or certifications in cloud/platform technologies a plus
