Skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience with multiple languages (Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, etc.)
- Experience building data-intensive processing and real-time analysis systems
- Ability to navigate and extend complex, established codebases quickly
- Experience with networking, telemetry, and distributed messaging
- Familiarity with simulation, modeling, or motion-planning concepts (preferred)
- Desire to work on safety-critical, real-world defense systems
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain vehicle control and autonomy software for unmanned systems
- Integrate sensors, perception pipelines, and telemetry into vehicle software stacks
- Develop networking and messaging solutions for distributed multi-agent systems
- Build and optimize data-processing and analysis pipelines for real-time operations
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers from simulation through flight testing
- Author tests, CI, and safety-related validation for flight and mission-critical features
- Troubleshoot and debug complex, legacy, and real-time codebases in operational environments
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and technical design discussions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field — or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline is a plus
