Skills
- Deep familiarity with surface or air domain military operations, tactics, planning, logistics, and sustainment
- Operations analysis experience including agent-based and campaign-level simulation
- Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python, AFSIM, Powersim)
- Strong written and visual communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Ability to decompose complex problems and work with engineering teams to deliver solutions
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop model-driven analyses and build models using advanced modeling & simulation to inform autonomous vehicle design and employment decisions
- Provide SME input into autonomous system and behavior design and define operator/planner user experience requirements
- Translate predicted customer needs into software and platform requirements working closely with software and hardware engineers
- Communicate technical value of autonomy, AI, sensor fusion, and multi-agent systems to internal and external stakeholders
- Work as part of an international, multi-disciplinary team and mentor engineers from varied backgrounds
- Drive engagements to discover gaps in understanding and identify actionable next steps for capability development
Education
- STEM degree or equivalent technical experience
- Significant operational experience in technologically complex military environments (e.g., submarine or aircraft operations)
- Advanced study in operations research or related field is a plus
