Operations Analyst Intern
Skills
- Pursuing a degree in computer science, aerospace, mechanical, systems, industrial engineering, mathematics, or related field.
- Experience or coursework in physics/math scripting (MATLAB, Python + NumPy/SciPy, Simulink, etc.).
- Familiarity with modeling & simulation concepts and building analytical models.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- Comfort with technical communication and visual presentation of complex data.
Responsibilities
- Develop model-driven analyses and build/extend simulation models to evaluate system performance and value.
- Collaborate with internal programs and external stakeholders to gather requirements and define analytical approaches.
- Use the organization’s advanced M&S capabilities to create rigorous, reproducible results that inform product development and customer engagements.
- Analyze and synthesize large datasets to support conclusions and recommendations.
- Prepare clear visual and verbal presentations that convey technical analyses and operational value to non-technical audiences.
- Support demonstration planning by aligning analysis outputs with test objectives and metrics.
Education
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university in a relevant technical discipline.
- Must be a rising senior at the time of the internship and returning to school after the internship for at least one quarter/semester.
- U.S. Person status required.
