Responsibilities
- Own hardware development from concept through production and field use
- Apply first-principles engineering to inform design decisions
- Lead design reviews and execute mechanical analysis (thermal and structural)
- Prototype hardware, run failure analysis, and iterate designs
- Define and execute hardware test plans and support demonstrations for customers
- Coordinate with vendors and visit suppliers/test sites as required
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers for integration and producibility
Education
- BS, M.Eng, MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in immersive technical projects (collegiate project teams or professional)
- Eligible to hold an active U.S. Secret security clearance
