Head of Operations, Space

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building AI-powered systems for U.S. and allied military customers. The Space team is expanding capabilities in Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and C2; they seek a Head of Operations to lead business operations, scale the business line, and partner with engineering and leadership to drive strategic growth and execution.

Skills

  • 15+ years professional operations experience driving complex programs
  • High ownership and ability to manage 6+ large, parallel projects
  • Strong emotional intelligence and people-centric problem solving
  • Proven stakeholder management and senior leader engagement
  • Technical aptitude to work closely with engineering and hardware/software teams
  • Experience with P&L ownership and financial discipline
  • Ability to work onsite five days/week (Costa Mesa or Washington, D.C.) and travel ~25%+
  • Ability to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Drive day-to-day business operations for the Space business line, including planning, org design, and talent operations
  • Define and execute growth strategy in partnership with the Space leadership team
  • Support program execution by providing operational enablement to engineering and product teams
  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives aligned to business priorities
  • Problem-solve operational bottlenecks and build scalable processes
  • Own the Business Line P&L and burn-rate tracking in coordination with finance
  • Develop senior leader engagement and external interface strategy (conferences, press, partnerships)
  • Build, negotiate, and execute industry partnerships and external agreements
  • Support M&A activity including target identification and diligence engagement

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required or strongly preferred
  • MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
