Construction Project Manager
Skills
- 12+ years progressive construction management experience
- Experience as an owner’s representative or general contractor
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction means & methods, materials, MEP systems, and building codes
- Competency in CPM scheduling, construction document review, and contract administration
- High-level document control and organization skills
- Cost estimating across project lifecycle and familiarity with estimating workflows
- Advanced Excel skills for modeling and reporting
- Willingness to travel 25%–50%
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for construction matters and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulators
- Coordinate and collaborate with external project management teams to align construction activities with project objectives
- Lead stakeholder communication across Security, Network Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, EHS, Legal, and other internal teams
- Develop, manage, and report on construction and maintenance budgets; partner with Finance/FP&A for cash flow forecasting
- Design and implement contracting strategies to align incentives, allocate risk, and minimize disputes
- Produce accurate cost estimates at concept, schematic, and construction document stages; support and grow a historical cost database
- Manage construction document control, CPM scheduling, contract administration, and change order processes
- Facilitate project meetings, present updates to senior management, and drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion
- Travel regionally to support projects (expected 25%–50% travel)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- Relevant professional certifications (PMP, CCM) are a plus
