Skills
- 4+ years implementing and overseeing EHS programs
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 general industry standards
- Knowledge of 40 CFR Parts 260-279 hazardous waste regulations
- Experience performing incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Hazardous waste handling and chemical management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication with leadership and regulators
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Comfort working onsite in manufacturing and R&D environments
- Authorization to work as a U.S. Person
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist accident/incident investigations, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Act as EHS liaison with employees, management, auditors, customers and regulators
- Conduct and document workplace safety inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to coach, teach and influence safe behaviors and practices
- Manage hazardous waste handling, labeling, storage, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain and ensure compliance with safety programs (hazcom, fall protection, respiratory, LOTO, machine guarding, tools, electrical, emergency response, chemical management)
- Support industrial hygiene, ergonomics, stormwater, and air emissions programs
- Prepare documentation and support regulatory inspections and audits
- Travel as required to regional sites (up to ~40%)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of degree
