Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Streaming
Skills
- 5+ years SRE or equivalent experience
- Deep experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka-like systems, Redpanda)
- Strong production Kubernetes experience
- Proficiency in Go for tooling and automation
- Experience defining SLIs/SLOs and building monitoring/alerting (Prometheus)
- Solid Linux internals and performance troubleshooting skills
- Experience diagnosing message broker performance issues
Responsibilities
- Triage complex technical incidents and implement robust, long-term solutions
- Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, alerts, and monitoring for RabbitMQ and Redpanda
- Improve reliability and client implementations for message brokers
- Respond to and remediate incidents, conduct post-incident reviews and follow-up actions
- Collaborate with development teams to design services for reliability and scalability
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to support growth
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience
