Responsibilities
- Manage Affirm’s whistleblower hotline and vendor relationships, and prepare regular reports on hotline activity
- Conduct timely, fair, and professional ethics investigations and produce clear investigative reports and findings
- Oversee and update the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct; draft and review related policies and translations
- Respond to ethics inquiries on conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, and related employee questions
- Design and launch ethics training, communications, and build an ethics resource library
- Provide day-to-day employment law advice on accommodations, leaves, performance, separations, payroll tax, and benefits
- Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and internal/external communications
- Manage pre-litigation matters, administrative claims, audits, and coordinate outside counsel as needed
- Monitor legal developments and create reference guides or frameworks for cross-functional partners
- Partner with stakeholders to influence outcomes and support special projects across jurisdictions
Education
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in a U.S. state (e.g., CA, NY, WA, TX)
- Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
