Sr. Program Financial Analyst - Tactical Systems
Skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ability to prepare and analyze Estimates at Completion (EACs)
- Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and earned value management (EVM) principles (preferred)
- Clear, concise communication of financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain program financial baselines including budgets, forecasts, cost estimates, and Estimates-At-Completion (EACs).
- Monitor and analyze program costs, revenue, and profitability against budgets and forecasts; perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare regular financial reports for internal management and external customers.
- Support program managers in developing and reconciling EACs to align cost and schedule.
- Track and forecast labor, material, and overhead costs to identify trends and risks.
- Assist in proposal pricing and cost preparation ensuring compliance with company financial policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, government accounting standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with accounting, contracts, and operations for accurate billing, revenue recognition, and funding status.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial reviews, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting and program controls.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on program financial practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certifications such as CPA, CMA, or relevant professional credentials are a plus
