Job Description

Leeding Builders Group, division of AECOM, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Pre-Qualification Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and pre-qualifying contractors and subcontractors for construction projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

  • Manage and maintain the contractor pre-qualification database, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate
  • Analyze contractor submissions, including financial statements, safety records, and performance history
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of potential contractors and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to determine specific pre-qualification requirements for each project
  • Develop and implement pre-qualification criteria and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prepare detailed reports on contractor qualifications and recommendations for project teams
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in contractor pre-qualification
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of pre-qualification policies and procedures
  • Provide support and guidance to contractors throughout the pre-qualification process
  • Coordinate with legal and insurance departments to ensure compliance with contractual requirements

About Construction Management—Leeding Builders Group (LBG)

Leeding Builders Group (LBG) is a New York-based construction manager specializing in open shop commercial, residential and hospitality projects. Founded on a reputation of professionalism and quality, with the financial backing of AECOM, we are one of New York City's premier builders.

As a separately branded entity of the AECOM Construction Management group, LBG operates independently with its own management structures and resources.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Finance or related curriculum or AA/AS + 2 years of relevant experience in construction finance/risk or HSD/GED + 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction pre-qualification or related field.
  • Proficiency in pre-qualification software and databases (TradeTapp).
  • Strong analytical and research skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with contractor evaluation and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of contractor qualification processes.
  • Familiarity with construction project management.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
